Meet Our Staff

Dr. Holly Noble
Owner and Veterinarian

Holly Noble

Dr. Noble was raised in Connecticut but fell in love with Midcoast Maine while earning her B.A. in Biology from Bowdoin College and competing on the Bowdoin Sailing Team on Quahog Bay. After Bowdoin Dr. Noble went on to receive an M.A. in Science Education from St. Joseph College in Connecticut and then her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in Massachusetts.

Dr. Noble became a commissioned officer in the Army in 2014 and has served on Active Duty as an Army Veterinarian as a Captain in the Army Veterinary Corps for the past several years. Most recently Dr. Noble was the Officer in Charge of veterinary care at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point in North Carolina. She provided round the clock care to all of the Air Station’s Military Working Dogs, and served as veterinarian to the family pets of the Air Station community. Dr. Noble is proud to have served our country and is now thrilled to return to Midcoast Maine to start her own practice in Wiscasset.

While she enjoys all areas of general practice, her professional interests include internal medicine, soft-tissue surgery, and dentistry, and she is a member of MVMA, AVMA, and AAHA. Dr. Noble resides in Wiscasset and when not at work she can most likely be found aboard her kayak in the Maine waters, hiking in the mountains with her dog Mae, out in her garden, or reading a good book with a steaming cup of tea and her cat Petey by her side.

Dr. Crosby Roper
Veterinarian

Crosby Roper

Dr. Roper joins us after 30 years of practice ownership in Southern California. He received his Veterinary Medical Doctor degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1985 and went on to practice medicine for decades in the city of San Diego. His professional interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, and endoscopy, and he is certified in veterinary acupuncture. In 2021 Dr. Roper and his wife Claire left the California life to experience the beauty of Midcoast Maine. They reside in a historic farmhouse on several acres with their three small dogs, Dulce, Sophie, and Lily, and one very charismatic cat, Guy Noir. Outside of work Dr. Roper can be found at the helm of a sailboat, practicing photography, or enjoying long walks outdoors with Claire and the dogs.

Dr. Julie Krasne
Veterinarian

Julie Krasne

Dr. Krasne was born and raised in the Midwestern plains of Nebraska and Kansas. After graduating from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984, Dr. Krasne began her veterinary career in Central Vermont, where she lived and practiced for 13 years before moving to Maine in 1998. Although she adores all creatures great and small, Julie considers herself to be a "cat lady." She resides in Freeport with her feline companions Qamar and Munya and an aquarium filled with nano-fish. When she's not working, Julie enjoys sea kayaking, birdwatching, fishing and appreciating the bounty and natural beauty of the four seasons here in Maine.

Dr. Paige Pfannenstiel
Veterinarian

Paige Pfannenstiel

Despite spending her formative years in Michigan, Dr. Pfannenstiel became a Mainer at heart after completing her B.A. in Biology at Bowdoin College. A lifelong athlete, she played on the Bowdoin Varsity Women's Rugby team for all four years and spent a good deal of her time hiking, canoeing, and enjoying Maine's nature. Dr. Pfannenstiel returned to Michigan for graduate school, graduating with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University, but could not wait to return to Midcoast Maine to put down roots. Dr. Pfannenstiel loves working with animals of all kinds, and also has professional interests in public health, epidemiology, and the OneHealth philosophy that animal health, human health, and the health of our environment are equally important in the creation of a healthy world. Dr. Pfannenstiel still enjoys playing rugby, soon to be with the Portland Women's Rugby team, and has a variety of artistic interests including story writing and worldbuilding, visual art and playing her silver trumpet. When at home, she loves to spend the evenings with her fiancé Michael, her cat Mordred, and her ever-growing collection of "favorite" blends of green tea.

Dr. Aliza Gentili-Lloyd
Veterinarian

Aliza Gentili-Lloyd

Dr. Gentili-Lloyd obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tufts University. She has lived and worked in coastal Maine as a veterinarian for the last 7 years. She originally grew up in Vermont, but has lived in many different places, including Washington state, NYC and little Rhody. Prior to becoming a veterinarian she worked in biomedical research. During that time, she volunteered with animal rescue organizations and shelters, which motivated her to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. Dr. Gentili-Lloyd has a particular interest in feline medicine, endocrinology, dental health, and preventive medicine, aiming to improve the overall health and wellness of her patients. She works at several hospitals in Midcoast Maine with the goal to help alleviate the pressure on individual veterinarians and owners to give them necessary time off. In her free time she enjoys trying out new restaurants, traveling, gardening, hiking, sailing and spending time with her partner Carter and their dog Pia, and their two cats Goose and Juni.
